How To Make A Tequila Sunrise Cocktail
The Tequila Sunrise has to be one of the best known and loved cocktail in the world. Not only is the Tequila Sunrise a great tasting cocktail, it's also very easy to make. This is my recipe for how to mix a classic tequila sunrise cocktail.
The Tequila Sunrise cocktail is easy to identify thanks to its distinctive sunrise effect given by the addition of Grenadine. This iconic cocktail also shares its name with the US band The Eagles first single from the second album Desperado, which was released back in 1973.
The tequila sunrise cocktail is a true classic and deservedly so, a sure fire hit for any party. In order to do this cocktail justice you will need to use a premium brand of tequila, personally I would recommend Jose Cuervo Especial.
Ingredients
2 oz of Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila
4 oz of Orange Juice
¾ oz of Grenadine
Lime wedge
Method
Squeeze the lime into a 12oz highball glass and add a generous helping of ice.
Mix the tequila and orange juice with ice and strain into the glass.
Pour in the grenadine slowly and allow to settle.
Stir to complete the sunrise and serve.
